Sub: Amendment to the Bidding Documents and Tender Opening/Closing

Date Extension.

Dear Sirs/Madams,

Thank you for your participation in the above captioned tender. Please be informed that an amendment is made to parts:

  1. For Local Manufacturers Participants:

 

  1. Amendment on Part I:

On Bidding Procedures: Evaluation methodology

 

  • The previous two consecutive years supply performance is amended to 50% of the quantity of the winner will be given as a first lot and the second 50% of the quantity will be given after execution of the first lot.

 

  1. Amendment on Part III:

GCC 32.5 ü  The currency for the quotation or bidding shall be in Ethiopian birr and the payment shall be  Ethiopian birr

ü  All local manufacturers of health commodities who have the input output coefficient  in the tender will have a privilege of 35% to 55% of the total contract amount foreign currency facilitation support, based on their products input-output coefficient that were submitted to Armawer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI), analyzed and submitted back to EPSS, otherwise EPSS shall not give the privilege for those who didn’t submit their products input-output coefficient, but they can still participate and compete in any tenders. EPSS will not take any responsibility for the loss of this opportunity by the manufacturers.

ü  The role of EPSS is only to facilitate the support of the suppliers to acquire 35% to 55% of the total contract amount foreign currency from NBE by the suppliers themselves via communicating the MOH; all the other responsibilities are up to the suppliers.

ü  EPSS will take any necessary measures for the undelivered products accordingly as per the terms and conditions remain the same

  1. The closing and opening date and time

The closing and opening of the tender date and time are extended to August 30, 2023; 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM respectively.

All the other terms, conditions & requirements will be the same.
