Agency Distributes Ventilators to Treat COVID-19 Patients
The Ethiopian Pharmaceuticals Supply Agency distributed 24 mechanical ventilators that help treat COVID-19 patients, announced Medical Equipment Expert, JiaUga on May 7, 2020.
The mechanical ventilators were distributed to the makeshift COVID-19 medical centre at the Addis Ababa millennium hall, the EkaKotebe hospital and to the health bureaus of Dire Dawa, Amhara, Tigray, Southern Nations and Nationalities, BenishangulGumuz, Gambella, Somali and Afar regional states.
The expert stated that the ventilators were distributed via the Agency’s Adama branch. It has also been pointed out that the ventilators are worth a total of 10, 839, 700 birr.
