Agency going for full automation

Automation team leader, Menfese Tadesse, noted that the absence of an integrated information system has obstructed the improvement of work procedures on a workshop held at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute Training Center on January 9, 2019.
She explained that a team has been established to conduct research on the time flow of activities the Directorates carry out. The team leader pointed out that the research is vital towards realizing the automation.
“Once the research is done, it will be developed through discussion with relevant sections and the work procedures will be incorporated in a software application specification that ensures the full automation of the process,” Menfese remarked.
25 experienced professionals of the Agency are participating in the Business Process Transformation. The team leader also pointed out that the research is being supported by the Agency’s management and partners.
The automation is expected to discard cumbersome work procedures and duplication of effort.
