There are five directorates under Inbound Logistics Deputy-Director-General. These are: Quantification and Market Shaping, Tender Management, Contract Management, Quality Assurance and Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorates.
The major tasks managed under Inbound Logistics Deputy-Director-General are:

Monitor and evaluate agency`s annual plan and five year strategic plan;

Monitor and direct the national quantification of health programs and pharmaceuticals managed through revolving drug fund;

Monitor the identified relevant market shortcomings and direct appropriate interventions to be taken;

Monitor and control the procurement of different pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, laboratory chemicals and reagents, and medical equipment through various tender modalities as per the public procurement and property agency directive;

Control that each procurement is conducted by achieving value for money, transparency and accountability;

Monitor and evaluate contract agreements with pharmaceuticals suppliers;

Monitor work process standardization and processes audit for pharmaceuticals core process;

Monitor and evaluate the overall performance of the directorates under it, provide appropriate direction and take desired action;

Lead new initiatives pertaining to inbound logistics and evaluate their performance.
