The Outbound Logistics of EPSA, led by Deputy Director General, manages three directorates and hubs including Adama project Office. The three directorates are: warehousing and inventory management, distribution and fleet management and management information systems.
The key activities managed under Outbound-Logistics Deputy Director General are depicted as follows:

Monitor and follow up the execution of agency wide strategic plan and annual plan, and evaluate their periodic performance;

Monitor and evaluate the overall performance of Warehousing and Inventory Management, Distribution and Fleet Management, Pharmaceuticals Supply Management Information System and Hubs and Adama project office and provide appropriate direction and desired action;

Oversee and monitor the development and implementation of operational guidelines, SOPs pertaining to activities under each directorate and hubs including Adama project Office;

Lead the initiatives pertaining to outbound logistics and evaluate their performances;

Coordinate and collaborate with FMOH, Regional Health Bureaus, Donors, partners and others to ensure successful implementation and strengthen the Agency’s supply chain management;

Monitor and follow up the development of performance indicators and targets for evaluating performance of the directorates/hubs;

Monitor the implementation of appropriate warehousing, distribution, fleet management and maintenance policies and procedures to enhance efficiency;

Monitor and follow up efficient commodity tracking, receiving, and inventory management system that allow commodities to be distributed for hubs and health facilities;

Provide mentorship and supportive supervision on key supply chain operations to branch offices in collaboration with partners;

Follow up and support the implementation of GPS, CCTV, Incinerators and many other key initiatives.
